Support That Encourages Independence, Dignity & Purpose
At Purpose Driven Living LLC, our planned Adult Foster Care services are being developed around one principle: support should be individualized to the person.
Each resident will have different strengths, preferences, abilities, needs, and goals. Our approach is designed to provide appropriate assistance and supervision while encouraging individuals to participate in their daily lives, make choices, develop skills, and maintain as much independence as possible.
Services will be provided according to each resident's assessed needs, individual plan, and the services Purpose Driven Living is approved and able to provide.
Daily Living Support
Residents may receive individualized assistance with everyday activities based on their assessed needs and abilities.
- Support may include personal hygiene and grooming, dressing, household routines, laundry, organization, meal-related activities, and other activities of daily living.
- Whenever appropriate, residents will be encouraged to participate rather than simply having tasks completed for them.
- 24-hour supervision and on-site staff support.
Medication Support
Trained staff will provide medication-related assistance in accordance with applicable requirements, individual needs, medication instructions, and Purpose Driven Living policies and procedures.
- Our goal is to promote medication safety, proper documentation, communication, and consistency.
- Coordination with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
- Transportation to and from medical, psychiatric, and therapy appointments.
Meals & Nutrition
Purpose Driven Living will promote access to meals and food choices that support individual preferences, nutritional needs, independence, and daily living skills.
- Depending on individual abilities and plans, residents may participate in meal planning, grocery shopping, food preparation, and other kitchen activities with appropriate support and supervision.
- Meals and food choices will be developed with attention to individual dietary needs, cultural preferences, and personal choices.
Community Integration & Activities
Living with purpose extends beyond the walls of the home.
- Residents will be encouraged to participate in meaningful activities and community experiences based on their interests, abilities, preferences, individual goals, and available opportunities.
- Activities may include shopping, recreation, social activities, community events, hobbies, skill-building opportunities, and maintaining important personal relationships.
Skill Development & Independence
Our approach is designed to encourage residents to maintain and strengthen everyday living skills whenever appropriate.
- Support may focus on areas such as personal routines, household responsibilities, organization, communication, and decision-making.
- Community participation and other skills identified through the individual's plan and goals.
Person-Centered Support
The individual is at the center of our approach.
- Support will consider each resident's strengths, preferences, routines, communication needs, personal goals, cultural considerations, relationships, and choices.
- We believe residents should have a voice in their lives and be treated with dignity and respect.
Health & Appointment Support
Depending on individual needs and the home's approved services, staff may assist residents with maintaining appointments, following established care instructions, communicating appropriate information, and coordinating with authorized members of the individual's support team.
- Purpose Driven Living does not replace physicians, nurses, therapists, or other licensed healthcare professionals.
- Health and appointment support will be provided in accordance with each resident's individual plan and applicable AFC requirements.
Transportation & Community Access
Purpose Driven Living will support residents in accessing transportation options appropriate to their individual needs and circumstances.
- Transportation planning may include available community transportation, public transit, rideshare services, transportation arranged through outside programs or providers, and other appropriate resources.
- Specific transportation arrangements will depend on the individual's needs, resources, plan, and available services.
Supervision & Safety
Purpose Driven Living is being developed as a supportive residential environment with appropriate staff supervision and assistance based on resident needs and applicable AFC requirements.
- Safety practices, emergency preparedness, staff training, documentation, and clear policies and procedures will be important parts of our operations.
Family & Guardian Communication
Families and guardians are partners in care. We keep them informed, involved, and supported.
- Regular communication with families, guardians, and authorized representatives.
- Participation in care planning meetings and reviews.
- Open-door policy for family visits consistent with resident preferences and rights.
- Transparent documentation and incident reporting.
A Home, Not an Institution
Purpose Driven Living is being created to feel like home.
Residents should be able to experience comfort, privacy, meaningful routines, personal choice, relationships, community involvement, and a sense of belonging.
Our role is not to define individuals by what they need help with. Our role is to recognize their strengths, provide appropriate support, and encourage each person to live with purpose.

Purpose Driven Living LLC is currently completing the process required to operate as a licensed Michigan Adult Foster Care home. We are not yet licensed and are not currently accepting residents or providing licensed AFC services. The services described above reflect our planned scope of care.
